Fini Bearman is an acclaimed UK jazz vocalist/composer currently based in London. Here, joined by her quintet featuring stalwarts of the British music scene; Matt Robinson on piano, Nick Costley-White on guitar, Conor Chaplin on bass and Dave Hamblett on drums, she celebrates the artistry of song writing within modern jazz composition with her calling on influences from Esperanza Spalding and Bjork to Kurt Rosenwinkel and Becca Stevens. Currently on a nationwide tour around the UK, their live performances demonstrate the group’s passion and interest towards groove, texture and the acoustic sound which highlight the vocalists keen ability to write edgy but accessible modern jazz. Bearman’s work is regularly featured on JazzFM, BBC Radio 3, BBC London as well as featured artist on national German radio station BR-Klassic. She was recently featured in the October 2016 issue of Jazzwise and she is fast becoming a respected and rising star.
